The Cinema Club Terms and Conditions
The terms and conditions below govern your use of The Cinema Club website and membership scheme. The Cinema Club is operated by The Cinema People Ltd, Company Registration Number 13467958.
These terms and conditions concern the use of the website and virtual membership card and membership vouchers. If you do not agree with any of the terms and conditions, do not use The Cinema Club membership scheme or website. If you do use the website or The Cinema Club scheme, your conduct indicates that you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions and do not hold The Cinema People Ltd or any of its employees, directors or shareholders accountable for any information contained or not contained within the website and any services that it provides.
- The Cinema Club provides discount codes to its members for use when buying tickets for a specially selected group of films at cinemas that are in the scheme. The online transactions that take place with the scheme member cinemas are done through their external websites and thus are not completed on The Cinema Club website. Therefore, it is the companies that are responsible for the transaction security on any purchases made.
- The member can generate a voucher on The Cinema Club website that can be used once to obtain a 50% discount of the adult ticket price on the performance of the film tickets are being purchased for.
- Once redeemed a voucher cannot be unredeemed.
- Vouchers are only valid for performances of the film they are generated for and only at participating cinemas.
- The Cinema Club reserves the right to remove any user found to be abusing the discount codes or any other call to actions provided and remove them from the membership scheme. This can be conducted without consent of the member.
- Registered members are responsible for the safe keeping of usernames and passwords and must make sure that they take all necessary steps not to disclose information to unauthorised users. The Cinema Club reserves the right to ask any of its members to change their password at any point it deems necessary to protect the account.
- If a password is forgotten or lost, then the user must go through the appropriate route: namely the forgotten password link. Members must contact The Cinema Club if this cannot be achieved, through the contact area of the website.
- All companies listed on The Cinema Club website reserve the right to add, amend or withdraw their offer at any time.
- Should an offer not work and not provide a discount, it is up to the member to contact The Cinema Club to notify and report this. If a member continues with their purchase without the discount, then the member has authorised the transaction with no discount, and it will be down to the company’s discretion as to whether they provide a refund on the discount amount.
- Other advertisements contained on The Cinema Club website contain materials created and submitted by third parties. The Cinema Club does not accept liability for this material or any issues that may arise from this.
- Laws governing the terms and conditions on this website shall be subject to the laws of England and Wales. These shall exclusively govern the interpretation, application and effect of all the above permissions, exclusions, licenses and conditions of use.
- The Cinema Club endeavours to ensure the service it provides is free from defects though it is not responsible or liable for any consequential errors or omissions within the service.
- All trademarks referred to on this website are acknowledged as the property of their respective owners. The Cinema Club, its directors and its employees cannot be liable for any copyright or trademark infringements.
- We may occasionally amend these terms and conditions, and you should check them each time you place an order. These terms and conditions were last amended on 15th September 2025.
- You may apply for a Membership by completing the application form and making payment on our website.
- When placing an order, you must provide us with complete and accurate payment information. By submitting payment details you promise that you are entitled to place the order and purchase membership from us using those payment details. If we do not receive payment authorisation or any payment authorisation is subsequently cancelled, we may immediately terminate or suspend your access to your Membership. In suspicious circumstances we may contact the issuing bank/payment provider and/or law enforcement authorities or other appropriate third parties.
- If you have applied online and your application is accepted, we will send you a confirmation email and issue your virtual The Cinema Club Membership. No physical card will be issued to you.
- You are responsible for all use of your Membership whether by you or anyone else who gains access to your membership.
- If you believe there has been any theft or unauthorised use of your ID, your virtual Membership card or any payment information, you must notify us immediately by calling and immediately change your password by using the 'Forgot your password?' function on our website.
- We recommend that you change your user password regularly. Changes to your ID can be made by logging in to your "Manage My Account" section of your The Cinema Club account.
- When your Membership ends, your virtual Membership Card will be deactivated but your The Cinema Club account will remain active, and you will be able to continue using it to enjoy the benefits of your free The Cinema Club account.
- If you applied for your Membership online via our website, you may cancel the Membership at any time within the next 14 days following the start of your Membership. This period is known as the cancellation period.
- Where your Membership has automatically renewed or you have renewed it yourself, you may cancel your Membership within the next 14 days after the date of renewal. This period is also known as the cancellation period.
- To cancel, you will need to contact The Cinema Club in writing by email and let us know of your decision to cancel. This can be achieved through the contact section of the website.
- If you cancel in accordance with this clause you will receive a full refund of any Membership fee you have paid for your Membership (or Membership renewal as appropriate) although, if you visit The Cinema Club cinema(s) before your Membership is cancelled, you will be charged and must pay for any Member free tickets used, discounts and benefits enjoyed and/or other costs incurred by us arising from the visits to the cinema by You during that time, in which case the amount refunded will be reduced accordingly and, in certain circumstances, could mean that no refund is due.
- Refunds will usually be paid back to the credit, debit or charge card used to purchase the Membership (or such other method as we may need to use, such as BACS transfer) within 14 days of receipt of your request to cancel.
- Your Membership is not transferable or for sharing.
- All film screenings are subject to normal restrictions such as age certifications, and to The Cinema Club Cinemas' Terms of Admission. The Member shall have no preferential rights of access to any screenings, except special screenings organised for Members.
- As a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to services that are faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens' Advice Bureau. Nothing in these terms and conditions will affect these legal rights.
- We may suspend your Membership and temporarily deactivate your Membership Card or terminate your Membership (in our discretion) if:
- you fail to make any payment to us when due.
- we suspect any fraud in any matter connected to your Membership.
- any significant misuse of your Membership.
- you breach any cinemas conditions of entry, or you engage in any behaviour or activity that is disruptive to or damaging to any The Cinema Club Cinemas.
- any other serious breach of these terms and conditions which is either not capable of cure, or which (if capable of cure) is not cured by you within the reasonable time period we specify.
- If we terminate your Membership we may refund any Membership fee you have paid but shall be entitled to deduct the price of any services you have used since the start of your Membership and a fair amount to reflect the loss to us from terminating the Membership in such circumstances. This right does not limit any other rights we may have against you.
- On termination, we will deactivate and invalidate your Membership card.
- We may close or suspend The Cinema Club Membership scheme at any time and for any reason on not less than 30 days' notice in writing to you and/or by posting a notice online on The Cinema Club website. If The Cinema Club Membership scheme is closed in this way, we will refund the Membership fee paid by you after deducting an amount equal to the value of the use of your Membership by you prior to termination.
- We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform or delay in performance that is caused by events outside of our reasonable control.
- This agreement is between The Cinema Club and you, and no other person shall have any rights to enforce this agreement.
